Buy a Business/Global Apparel eCommerce
Global Apparel eCommerce (Amazon)
Established in 2012, this Amazon eCommerce business sells an array of sailing apparel and accessories for both men and women. The business derives 100% of its revenues from product sales via various sales channels which include; the business’ website, Amazon and corporate sales to retailers and boat crews.
The owners have decided to sell the business because they have recently started manufacturing their own brand of sailing apparel & accessories, and therefore, want to dedicate 100% of their time to this new venture. This new brand will also be supplied to the new owner at a reduced cost.
The business currently stocks two well-known brands (SLAM and Henri Lloyd) as well as an up and coming sailing brand (TOIO Asia). Henri Lloyd is the newest addition to the stores offering after the sellers successfully negotiated the acquisition of the brands remaining inventory from its supplier, following the brand's recent liquidation.
The sellers have made an initial investment of $100,000 for the first batch of stock with the option to acquire the entire batch at cost price (currently valued at $1.3M). The deal in place with Henri Lloyds suppliers will be included with the sale of the business and passed on to the new owner for continuity.
Easy to operate
Trained Staff and streamlined processes
Convert seller-fulfilment account to an Amazon FBA account to eliminate the requirement to source warehousing/storage or physically hold inventory
Build on and expand social media presence
In addition to the business’ website, the sellers have a seller-fulfilment Amazon account. Therefore, the business carries inventory which is stored on location at their warehouse in Hong Kong. Currently, the owners spend approx. 15-20 hours a week overseeing the operations, with full-time employees taking care of most of the critical roles and responsibilities.
The owners have developed a streamlined process whereby two employees fulfil orders day-to-day with another employee handling customer service queries (in 5 different languages). The team also includes a world sailing champion who guides customers by suggesting and recommending products/items that would best suit their needs.
With an efficient and streamlined process already in place (including an advanced shipping software that automatically creates shipping labels and uploads the tracking numbers), the sellers have agreed and are happy to continue running the day to day operations on behalf of the new owner for a flat monthly fee of $3,000 (plus variable costs).
Having the owners continue to run the day to day operations (order fulfilment, tracking shipments/deliveries, storage etc.) will greatly benefit the new owner(s) of the business as it will free them up to focus on the marketing and growing the business.
Customers are primarily based in the US, Canada and Asia but the business has also recently expanded operations to Europe, and have begun acquiring customers in the UK, France, Spain and Italy.
This storefront presents an opportunity for experienced investors searching for a well-established investment that generates consistent, steady passive income with the flexibility of active or passive management.
The day to day operations could easily be taken on by the new owner with little prior experience or expertise with the assistance of a reliable and experienced consultant/Virtual Assistant.
The sale of the store will include 30-days post-sale support and training (if required).
